Can God forsake?

Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?” my Father! my Father!! Why have you forsaken me, Jesus cried out.

Can God forsake?

Even His own Son, but He said, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you or forsake you” – Deuteronomy 31:6.

When some people put up such opposing verses like this together, they come up with a belief system that the Bible is opposite to itself, so due to the sensitive nature of the Bible I chose to play a just role in its interpretation, owing to the fact it isn’t a science or art studies, not everyone has that gift to approach matters of the Bible and offer answers as it’s in the mind of God.

At one point in Deuteronomy God said He won’t forsake us, in Matthew, He abandoned His Son on the Cross, even as He cried out, He didn’t save Him, I am writing from two opposing views, the worldly view and the Christian view, and I will let you understand how to view it.

I can teach science because I studied science, I can teach Arts because I studied Arts, and I can teach technology because I studied Technology, but you can learn these easily from any good teacher out there, but for the Bible, it’s a delicate sphere, not everyone has that divine aptitude to teach it, hence, the reason I focus on Kingdom matters most oft’.

Matthew 26:39, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”

After having prayed for hours to be relieved of the death which was set before him, Jesus concluded by saying, “Let your will be done and not my will.”

In moments of life’s challenges when it seems God has forsaken you, He didn’t forsake you, He’s making sure His will is done and not yours, and if you keep the faith and wait on Him till He comes you’ll understand why it seemed He was silent.

We don’t serve a God who forsakes, He remembers both the wicked and the righteous equally, the challenge we face is often “TIMING”, but you see our timing isn’t always the timing of God, but remember that which He promised He must fulfil.

When the Romans and the Jews put Jesus to death, His Father didn’t quickly raise Him up from the dead, He waited till it was time, He left Him to be buried, the Jews were saying, didn’t he say he was the Son of God? Why hasn’t His Father come to save him? Despite all these, the mockery, humiliation, shame, pain, anguish, God turned His back on him, till His will has been accomplished, on the 3rd day He raised him from the dead, not as Jesus but as Jesus Christ.

If God had saved him from death there wouldn’t have been the “Divine Essence” Christ, when we allow the will of God to be done it provides perfection and excellence, but when we force our will to be done, it shall come to a point when we’ll start feeling there’s something not in the broth.

While waiting for the will of God, it’s a phase of test and temptation, on the Cross, Jesus had the power to bring himself down and command fire to consume the whole Israel and Rome for putting him on the Cross for no offence, but he endured and fixed his hope on the the will of God.

As you begin to fix your hope on God and His timing from today, He will rescue you from every situation at the right time.

In your prayers, always remember to add, Father let your will be done in my life as it’s already done in Heaven, put the will of God above every other will and you’ll find peace.
