The Ogbanje Spirit, How It Possesses People

I feel confused when I see humans consulting the marine spirits for powers, protection, wealth, for success, a child etc., it’s synonymous with someone handing himself/herself and generation to the Devil forever, those marine spirits are very wicked and destructive, their chief agenda is to cause deep pain, they show no mercy.

The Yoruba call it Abikun. When a free man / woman consults the marine spirits for any reason whatsoever, a time shall come when those spirits shall return to possess a child from the man/woman, this signals the continuation of the covenant made years ago, when this happens such a child is said to be possessed by the Ogbanje spirit, so if you see a child possessed by the Ogbanje spirit it simply means someone in the family had a dealing with the marine spirits, may be by consulting the ezenwanyi or making sacrifice to the river goddess.

Some pay homage to the princesses and queens of the sea because they believe they are Ogbanje, i.e children whose spirits came from the sea, all souls came from God, the Ogbanje are people Satan is making a claim over their life because there is an unknown covenant or obligation which gives Satan legal right over the victims, going to make sacrifices to appease the spirits of the water doesn’t make any meaning.

If you are a captive how do you think making the sacrifices can set you free? the best option is to rebuke that Ogbanje spirit disturbing your existence and you will be free, God created no one as Ogbanje, it’s a circumvention, you are a normal human like others, Devil can not cast out devils, the more you accept you are possessed by the spirit of Ogbanje and you begin to respond positively to the belief the more you get entangled with them.
