The Making Of Nazareth From Vengeance

Your knife of revenge isn’t sharper than God’s vengeance, let God do this for you. Didn’t God punish his friend King David? whether the person is a man of God, a man of Satan or anybody he won’t escape the fury of God’s vengeance, so drop your words of revenge, drop your knife of vengeance.

No matter what they did or said to you, it’s needless to stand up for revenge, there’s always a natural will to inflict pain on people who offended us but it isn’t the best option to fight back in this manner.

David took Bathsheba Uriah’s wife, sent a letter to the army commander colluded with Joab to put Uriah on the hottest front, the man of God did this to hide his misdeed with the Hittite woman, as planned Uriah was murdered in the Battle, without knowing his king plotted it all to take his newly married wife. Did Uriah curse David? no, did he revenge? no, for he died in the battle, did anyone confront David? no, for he was the king, no one confronts the king except the chief priests or the prophets.

But what happened? God avenged Uriah upon David and his generation for over 1000 years(14 generations), David’s sons started defiling their sisters, Absalom his favorite son defiled his wives, staged a coup against his father. After the reign of Solomon, the kingdom was torn into 12 parts, only two were left for the offspring of David, years after the kingship was taken totally from David’s house by the Greeks.

Remember king Herod of Judea was a Greek, not even an Israelite or a Jew, he sat on the throne of David, what about the descendants of David? all were killed by Herod, and a few about 120 escaped into the desert and formed a poor settlement in fulfilment of Isaiah’s prophecy, a new shoot shall arise, the name of the village was Nazareth, so Nazareth was a village of asylum for the remnants of David. Princes and princesses became slaves and refugees in their land, this is how furious the vengeance of God could be.

God avenged Uriah until a righteous Seed was born in the lineage of David, the birth of Jesus Christ, the true Son David abolished the curse. Check from David to Christ was 1000 years, the vengeance steadied, God is the God of vengeance, you don’t need to do His thing for Him.

God will avenge you, you don’t need to stand in the way of God, your knife of vengeance is blunt, say nothing, do nothing, God will avenge you. There is only one thing that quenches the vengeance of God if the offender repents and apologizes, nothing else.

God would have spared David if he had apologized to Uriah, but he died in the battlefield, so there was no one to apologize to, because of one man, one life, a kingdom was destroyed, lives were taken for years just for the sake of avenging one man, Uriah’s blood.

Ahab conspired with Jezebel and killed Naboth over his vineyard, did Naboth revenge? Did anyone avenge his death? no one could for Ahab was the king, but the vengeance of God did rise, the entire family of Ahab was wiped off, their blood licked by the dogs.

God is merciful this we know, but remember it’s written “I am a God of vengeance” if you offended anyone severely, don’t say you’re the boss, you’re too big to beg to be forgiven, consider the great king David, your greatness or what you think of yourself can’t buy a strand of David’s hair, but look at how God dealt with him.

If someone offended you and reverts to apologize, forgive them, if you don’t forgive them the curse of the offence will be on you. I have heard commonly the saying, “I will never forgive you” if you don’t forgive others how then will God forgive your daily offences against Him?
