Theology School vs Bible School

Bible school and theology school are two different places, in Bible school they teach you the Bible, its application, interpretation and power that comes from it, in Theology school they teach you philosophical vocabularies about names and places in the Bible, you are more like a philosopher who would always throw up logics as an approach.

People who attended the Bible school understand the Bible clearer, theologers are concerned where comma and fullstops are and should be, they go finding faults about errors and missing words in the Bible, they are more concerned about words not translated correctly, this isn’t what the world needs, the world needs the Word and not your discoveries, theologers are fault finders in the Bible. I may also have to remind you that theology is a branch of philosophy which opposes the Bible.

Although there are some mix up, some Bible schools are wrongly called theology school, many who attended theology school actually did attend Bible school, it’s the error of the school not understanding the difference between the two, so I reserve some benefits in this regard. In some theology colleges they teach people how to use metaphysics, logics and science to interpret the Bible, none of these can explain a verse of the Bible.

When you hear them talking they are totally off point, but many believe them as they use astrology to explain the Bible.

You spent all the years in theology school, if interpreting the Bible with theological teaching is all you have got then you know know nothing, it isn’t your calling, leave that lane.

Theology can’t explain a bit of verse in the Bible, it only defines names and places as contained in the Bible, it doesn’t offer interpretation, the knowledge of theology is different from the knowledge of the Bible.

Don’t be moved when you hear anyone say to you I spent 15 years in theology school, he wasn’t studying the Bible, he was studying philosophies and teachings of men. They know all the theological theories and jargons all memorized but can’t move an ant.

They use big theological vocabularies but they don’t know its application, they are respected in the society because they spent good some of years in theology school, but with no knowledge of the Bible in their head.

You bring the Bible and you say to them, “You spent years studying theology, come let’s discuss the Bible” they abscond with excuses, they can’t ever stay for they know nothing about the Bible except theology, it’s funny as regards to the excuses they give, such excuses they were brainwashed with over the years in the theology school.

The theology teachers know it in their hearts they know nothing about the Bible, so they have nothing to offer the students, so they prepare them not to engage in any Bible based confrontation with reasons reason itself can not understand.

Don’t be moved that he studied theology for 12 years, access the depth of the Word of God He knows, if he knows nothing just trash whatever he may tell you as they can’t save you.

Knowledge of theology cannot save anyone but knowledge of God’s Word as written in the Bible saves. Go for Bible school, there’s no hope in theology schools; choose Bible studies over theology.
