The Holy Spirit Replaces Worldly Education

As a minister of God in any capacity, going to the seminary to acquire degrees is brilliant, but it makes no sense after acquiring theology Degrees, but you don’t have the Holy Spirit.

Peter and John were not highly educated, but after they were filled with the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:4), they spoke with wisdom and authority that surpassed human ability.

As a minister of God in any capacity, going to the seminary to acquire degrees is brilliant, but it makes no sense after acquiring theology Degrees, but you don’t have the Holy Spirit.

Years ago, after teaching in the church on Sunday during the usual 40-minute sermon, we shared the last amen, going home, my Pastor said to me, “Kanayo, the message you preached, many of us who attended the Seminary don’t know it.”

Let me humbly say, going to the seminary is very important for every minister, but it isn’t just all about going to the seminary, the message is the Spirit of God in you, He’s the message and the only Educator.
Theology Degrees make no sense to the Holy Spirit; theology degrees and PhDs have no place in understanding the truth. Yes, you need them, but they shouldn’t be the principality of your knowledge; let the focus and ingredient of your message be the Holy Spirit.

Yes, we attend the Bible school or Seminary to identify with a particular Christian family, but of what use is the Seminary if we don’t have a relationship with the Master of all knowledge?
“The Holy Spirit will teach you all things…” (John 14:26). Not the Seminary will teach you all things.

Let them not deceive you saying the Bible school or the Seminary is all you need to function as a minister, you only need the Holy Spirit. Going to seminary is just to fulfil some doctrinal righteousness, which is splendid I believe.

“It is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.” (Matthew 10:20).
Divine education overcomes human education.
The world measures “educated” by degrees and institutions; God measures “educated” by humility to be taught by the Holy Spirit.

Peter and John were “uneducated” by worldly standards, but “educated in the presence of Jesus.”
God’s power is made perfect in human weakness.

2 Corinthians 4:7 — “We have this treasure in jars of clay…”
God deliberately chose simple vessels so that the glory would not belong to humans, but to Christ.
The Presence of Jesus changes status “…and they recognized both of them as followers of Jesus.” (Acts 4:13).

This is the essence of this verse: what distinguishes people is not their education or titles, but the real presence of Christ in their lives.
Know your Bible and pray a lot, and God will use you to do things more than people who have Degrees and PhDs.

There’s no single divine power in worldly education, we go to school, get super educated in order to belong to the society but not to belong to God. To belong to God, we only need the knowledge offered by the Holy Spirit.

What God demands of us is to know His Word and His ways, we can only attain this level by studying the Bible and praying always.
