Can God Delay?

God can’t be late but at times He might allow delay for some good reasons:
1. It could be we aren’t ready to receive what we are asking for; in a way, He might allow us to wait that long to get us prepared.

2. It could be He’s protecting us from some harm, He knows everything about everything, He knows people and places, He knows the outcome of every happening even before it happens, what we call delay maybe God keeping us away from unseen harm.

3. It could be His timing isn’t our timing, He declared through the mouth of Prophet Isaiah in Chapter 55:8, “My thoughts aren’t your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways.”

A delay or lateness isn’t denial; when His time comes, you shall see it, and there’s nothing anyone can do to change the timing of God.

Abraham prayed, fasted, gave gifts, seeds and offerings, God answered him at His timing after about 25 years later.
In fact Abraham got tired waiting, he concluded God won’t ever give him a child, so he said to God since you won’t give me a child, let me make my servant Eleazar my heir, God responded, Abraham my friend, I will do that which I have promised.

You have prayed and fasted, and did everything possible, don’t get angry and conclude God hasn’t heard, or would be late on your case, He heard you, but you’ve to know His timing is different because He Is God.
His timing could be immediately, tomorrow or whenever, no one knows when it could be, so be patient and wait even when your strength is all gone waiting.

God isn’t a puppet, we can’t make Him to do things our way in our timing, the ways of God are strange, there are people who didn’t pray at all but they received from God and there are people who have prayed over the years without receiving, we can’t ask Him questions, why did you answer that person? Why haven’t you answered me? It all depends on God’s time and ways, our wisdom can’t calculate that.
4. His delay could be to help us grow in faith, see James 1:2-4.

5. Some times the direction we took are wrong without us knowing, His delay could be to give us a new direction and change of choice or decision to align with His perfect plan.

Delay is never a denial, your duty is to pray, your duty isn’t to calculate and measure when your prayers will be answered, no one can tell the mind of God.

I would want that you know God can never delay for a second when His timing is come, He can’t delay if what you’re asking for is in line with His divine plan.
