Does Money Answer All Things?

1 Timothy 6:10, “For the love of money is the root of all evil:”

Ecclesiastes 10:19, “….Money answers everything…”

Let’s discuss.

If you read that verse in Ecclesiastes above, you’ll understand Solomon made a contrast between the way the fools think and the way the wise think, he didn’t mean money is everything, he made a contrast on how fools relate with money. Fools believe money is everything, in a little while, they are tasked heavily by the demon of money Mammon in such a way even the money they said is everything can’t save them, according to Solomon wisdom answers all things not money, that was why he asked God for wisdom and not money, a foolish man would have asked God money instead of wisdom.

In Solomon’s skin people who believe money is everything always run into problems money can’t solve, still the money they believed was everything can’t save the day, money is only a help but not a helper.

Money isn’t everything, only fools believe money answereth all things, although you need money to survive in a material world, but it isn’t everything.

Not all problems can be fixed with money.

The love of money is aroused by a demon the Bible identifies as Mammon, he’s a stubborn taskmaster, for this Paul wrote in Timothy “love” of money is the root of all evil, he didn’t say “money” but love of it, that means you need money but not to love it, loving money is being possessed by Mammon, an evil spirit from the Devil.

Why Paul added the “love of money” was because you can’t love money if you aren’t possessed by Mammon, the evil there is the Mammon spirit, it quickly possesses fools according to Solomon in Ecclesiastes 10:19.

Only a fool would say, “Money is the answer for everything.” What Solomon said in Ecclesiastes that money answereth all things is a contrast between foolishness and wisdom.

In all thy getting get wisdom the Bible warns, money is a servant to wisdom, but wisdom can never be a servant to money, to be wise isn’t to be poor, no man who exists or existed under the sun is richer than Solomon, and no man is wiser than Solomon from the beginning of the world till the end.

Solomon is still the King of all riches and wisdom on earth, so wisdom doesn’t deny you money, it helps you to understand its value, but the fools, embrace money and cast away wisdom.

Get wisdom in all thy gettings, get wisdom above all things, understand there’s tomorrow, money only has a place in the present but wisdom has a place today and tomorrow.

A slight economic reform can make a foolish billionaire poor in a second, but the ones that have got knowledge will see all tomorrow, in all thy getting first get wisdom, money is nothing, it has wings, it flies away, but wisdom is everything.

You may have it today, but without wisdom, it will fly into another hand tomorrow, no bank can save your money, no financial institution can guard your money if you have no wisdom, even if you save your money in the most secure bank in the world Zurich, it will still fly away at the due time, only wisdom can guard your money, get it if you don’t have wisdom, hire people who have some wisdom to guide you.

The caveat, choose both wisdom and money, it’s very common to have both, but most importantly choose wisdom first, and money will follow afterwards, as in the skin of Solomon.
