Church
Open Hands, Closed Hearts
While I was looking at the multitude, a voice said to me, “When the hands are raised but the hearts aren’t open they shall not receive.”
I saw a multitude of people in the church this morning, hands all raised in worship.
And I was led by the Spirit in that vision to walk across the midst of the multitude; it was a multitude of opened hands and closed hearts.
Their voices were so loud in worship but their spirits were cold in iniquity and wickedness. I saw a couple, the woman wore chocolate color gown, and her husband wore something dark pink, they were the only people whose hearts were open in that great multitude.
While I was looking at the multitude, a voice said to me, “When the hands are raised but the hearts aren’t open they shall not receive.”
It isn’t about the hand that’s raised, God sees only the heart that’s open.
It isn’t about the leg that goeth to the church, but the heart that’s open. It’s good to go to church, but when the heart isn’t open, of what use is it going to the church?
God doesn’t see the leg, He doesn’t see the hand, He only sees the heart.
We are always fast to raise hands in worship, but we aren’t always fast to open the heart.
Always fast to open the hands to receive from the Lord but not ready to open the heart, how can the hand receive when the heart isn’t open?
There’s only one thing that opens the heart, when the heart isn’t ready to obey, it can’t be opened to receive.
Obedience opens the heart, without obedience no matter how high or how long the hand is raised it shall not receive, for the LORD sees the heart before He blesses the hand.
We’ve been Christians all these years, we’ve been going to church, but I want us to pause and check, what have we received from the God? We know how to pray, worship, fast, give offering and all that, but what have we received? Why is it so difficult for God to hear our prayers? How can He hear when our hearts are closed in disobedience.
We dwell in prayers all day long, but after these years of praying and asking, what have we received? Is God deaf that He can’t hear us, is He so far that He can’t help us?
It isn’t the voice praying that God hears, He sees the open heart. Men will see the hands, men will notice your gifts but God will search out your heart, how willing we are to obey determines how ready we are to receive.
For I do not see the hands that are raised, I search the hearts that are open to obey, the voice said to me in that vision.
