Prophecy and Money

You don’t take money from people in exchange for prophecy, if you do that you will start losing that gift, the Spirit of God will shift away from you and the spirit of the Devil will fill in.

The office of the prophetic doesn’t go with material wealth or money, a prophet isn’t supposed to be moved or attached to material things, or exchange prophecy for gain reasons, this was the limitation of Isaiah from chapter 1 to 5.

Isaiah was called in chapter one, but his commission started in chapter 6 when his friend and who happened to be his uncle ‘Uzziah’ died.
Uzziah wasn’t a good king, he did evil in the sight of the Lord, why didn’t Isaiah caution him? Isaiah was always there before the King, he saw him do dirty things, he didn’t condemn him, but he was busy condemning others near and far.

A prophet isn’t supposed to take sides with anyone, even if it’s your parent, your position is to speak the truth as it’s, you don’t have to say, this one is my friend, that one isn’t my friend, you say good prophecies to your friends even in the midst of the wrong doings, and you say bad prophecies to others you consider are good be condemned even when most of them are better then the friends and family you’ve spared, this was the situation of Isaiah.

Isaiah watched his friend and uncle do things that were wrong but he condemn others, because he ate from the King’s table, he received treasures and gifts from the King, the wealth twisted his tongue and made it unclean before God.

Elijah left everything he had, Elisha left everything, Habakkuk left everything, John the Baptist left everything, material wealth is a killer of the prophetic, prophets aren’t supposed to have their eyes on material things, but that doesn’t mean it’s a call to poverty, God has a way of taking care of His prophets.
A prophet should shun every obsession with wealth, a prophet can be wealthy, it’s allowed, but what isn’t allowed is making wealth the focus and dividend of prophecy, what isn’t allowed is selling prophecy in exchange for money and gifts.

Isaiah continued receiving gifts and wealth from the King, He judged people he wasn’t supposed to judge, he condemned people he wasn’t supposed to condemn, but he sat on the same table with a King who did things that displeased God, for once he didn’t condemn the King or remind him to do the right things.

Money is an enemy of prophecy, it twists the tongue of the prophet.
Because money, wealth and material things are anti the prophetic assignment, when God calls a prophet, He asks him to leave everything.

You can’t function successfully in that full divine prophetic capacity when your eyes are fixed on material things, you must choose one, wealth or the prophetic, no one keeps both.
We live in a world where people use prophecy to make money.

Someone contacted me from Canada over a prophecy that changed her family a time ago, she asked for my account details, a kind of she wanted to offer some money in exchange for the prophecy, but I looked at it, I had to tell myself the simple truth, you don’t take money from people in exchange for prophecy, so I had to tell her to give the money to the orphanage.

You don’t take money from people in exchange for prophecy, if you do that you will start losing that gift, the Spirit of God will shift away from you and the spirit of the Devil will fill in, funny enough you may still believe you’re serving God but in truth you’re serving the Devil.

Many prophets of God in our time are serving the Devil thinking they serve God, when we believe prophecy is for money, it’s a service to the Devil, when we prophesy in order to receive gift and cash, we are serving the Devil.

Isaiah received his commission in chapter 6, but what was he doing before chapter 6? He was dinning on the table of riches, eating King’s meal, received gifts and treasures from Uzziah.
As a prophet your eyes will see the Lord when you take your eyes away from money and riches.

To see the Lord means to receive your commission, but how can we see Him when our eyes are fixed on material things? If we stage prophecy or take money from people in exchange for prophecy, believe it, the Spirit of God is far from us.
