Selfie Giving

Giving to man is a form of service to humanity and Divinity, while giving to God is a form of worship.
It’s something you must do in sincerity of purpose, you don’t make a selfie when you give.

When you make selfie with giving, you gave to yourself, you received even more than what you gave; selfie giving is a selfish giving.

Give in secret, for God who sees in secret shall reward those who gave in secret, even when you give in the open as a matter of circumstance, don’t take glory, let every glory go to God.

For example, I will say this for the purpose of clear understanding, this has nothing to do with me, but to encourage you to give in secret, to give without expecting anything in return, to give without saying he’s my friend, he’s my brother, to give even to strangers, people you may never ever see again.

Some time ago I was in taxi rushing to a place, from a distance I noticed a crowd by the road side on the express way, as we got close I noticed there was some form of loss, a cooler of food stuff fell off the trunk, the woman was wailing at the center of the crowd, she tried to pick, but she couldn’t pick any, it was definitely her daily family support, as we slowed down and moved closer, I made assessment of her loss in seconds, I had some money with me that could take care of her loss, so I went through the back of the crowd, and gave her some support, I did it unnoticed, before the crowd could understand what happened, the taxi was meters away, I could hear the shout behind, not thanking me because I wasn’t there, they couldn’t see me, where is he? Look at him in the taxi, they pointed, I could hear them thanking God.

If I see the woman again anywhere, I don’t know her, if she sees me she won’t know me either but God knows everyone, this is all that counts.

If I had stood there making selfie with the woman, her loss, the crowd and with the support I gave her, what would it have benefited me? It would’ve simply made me an enemy of God’s glory.

We came here with nothing, we own nothing, when you give to humanity or support the church don’t take any glory, let all glory go to God and you shall be rewarded on the Last Day.
