Should We Pay Tithe

For over the years we’ve been paying tithe, until some teachers came up with eisegesis of knowledge that condemns it.

Do you think it’s wrong to pay tithe to God?
Tithing isn’t just giving God one-tenth of your proceeds, tithe is an act of worship, the origin of tithe started from Abraham, to understand what tithe is, study what happened between Abraham and Melchizedek in that scene.

On his way home, Abraham saw the priest of God at Salem, who was also the King of the city of Salem(King of peace), he knelt and worshipped him with one-tent of everything he got from his trip.
Abraham entered into a new form of relationship with God when he paid tithe to Melchizedek, right there where he was still kneeling, Heaven opened, God spoke to him mouth to ear, it was the beginning of a new level of encounter with God, he was still kneeling his tithe set before him, God promised him Isaac and blessed him more than ever.

Tithe is a clear worship not just giving per se, tithe is beyond giving God a little from what he has given you, it purely expresses you love God.

If it’s easy for the teachers to confuse you about tithing, some day they will confuse you about worship and prayer.
In Revelations 17, we are warned to beware of the “whore of babylon” or “the mystery babylon” this women of Babylon signifies ungodly end time religious system.

Any teaching against tithing is inspired by this woman of Babylon, many people will definitely accept her false teaching instead of the truth, because we’re in the end time, in Chapter 18 of Revelations God calls all believers to come out of her, i.e don’t believe in her teachings.

Tithe was explained in (Leviticus 27;30; Numbers 18 21-27; Deuteronomy 12:6, Nehemiah 13:12).
Tithes were given for the maintenance of the priests, Levites and for the maintenance of the Temple.
Tithes were also used to fund community meals shared with the poor, the foreigners, and the Levites (Deuteronomy 14:28-29; 26:12-15).

Malachi 3 admonishes us to return our tithe to the Lord. Failure to do so is to rob God, but giving the tithe will “pour down for you an overflowing blessing.”

Some say, tithe ended won’t Abraham, some say, it ended in old the Testament, some say it ended in Malachi, but hear the clear truth tithe continued till Revelation, so is spans from beginning to end, there’s no where it ended, for the fact Jesus mentioned tithe means it’s still valid, and you should see it this way.

The priests, and Pastors don’t have office, their place is in the house of God, if we don’t tithe how will they take care of the affairs of the house of God? Should they go and borrow to run the affairs of the church while the congregation is there, how do we want them to do it? God looked at all these things and commanded us to pay tithe so that there wil be enough for His service in His house.

The priest are there to receive the tithe and use it according to laid down instructions, feed the poor, take care of the church, visit the prisons, and orphanage, sponsor evangelism, help those who can’t help themselves etc.

But sadly many who receive the tithe channel it to their personal wellbeing, and this is one of the reasons that make it look like extortion.

But your concern shouldn’t be fixed on who received the tithe or what they do with it, your concern should be to obey God, worship Him with your one-tenth, and for the people who misuse the tithe, the case is between them and God, you’ve no say in it, because you gave to God and not to man.

For instance, those who make sacrifices on crossroads or roadsides to whatever god they serve, at times the sacrifice they made are taken by passers-by before their eyes, they don’t run after them to reclaim the sacrifice, they believe the god has received the sacrifice, the same way, you shouldn’t be worried how the tithe is spent, whether they do what’s good or bad with it, you aren’t in the position to question that.

Those people condemning tithe, at their shrine, they pay more than one-tenth, some even pay with human blood, but they are quick to condemn giving your very little to God.

If you accept paying tithe is wrong you’ve been deceived by those who don’t love God and His church.
Tithes reflect God’s great love for us as individuals and collectively as a church.

The world will not admit that God owns everything (Haggai 2:8) and that He gives us all that we have, (1Corinthian 4:7) He asks only for a small amount in return for our benefit and our brethren’s.

Tithe according to the Scripture and Gospel is the only financial system God has set up for everyone’s good, tithe is a confession that God owns everything.

Through the tithing system, God provides for the preaching of the Gospel and the feeding of the flock. In so doing, faithful tithing expresses love toward God and love toward our neighbours.

You can’t say you love God when you disobey tithe paying consciously because some teachers said you shouldn’t, you can’t say you love your neighbour when you don’t pay your tithe(see Mathew 22 and 28).
In the animation I prepared for this, I added a voice clip that says, “Don’t listen to her, pay your tithe” the “her” here is false religion coming from the whore of Babylon in the Book of Revelation.

From Genesis to Revelation, God commands us to pay our tithes, any teaching which forbids tithe paying is coming from Babylon, remember I have written this not because I have any personal interest in tithe, I am not a pastor, I am not a church worker, but I go to church, so I benefit nothing from tithe.

God has commanded no one to persuade people to pay tithe, it’s between you and God, whether you tithe or not, it’s no offence, but remember it’s a way to show you love God and His church.

Not paying tithe isn’t a sin, not paying tithe won’t hinder the blessings of God, according to Ephesians every child of God is blessed already, not paying tithe won’t condemn you to Hell, above all these, know it from what happened between Abraham and Melchizedek, tithe strengthens your relationship with God, it’s a way of saying, “God without you I can’t take care of myself.”

It’s a good thing to do, pay your tithe to your church, but if anything happens and you’re unable pay to your tithe, you have nothing to worry about, God understands our challenges.

You don’t have to steal to pay tithe or use money gotten from fraud and lies to pay tithe, you don’t have to think your head out about paying tithe, you do it from what God has blessed you with, you pay tithe with money or item earned justly not with corruptible silver and gold.

No one should mount pressure on you to pay tithe, it’s a relationship between you and God which you must do faithfully in one-tenth.
