The Child Of Help

As I meditated, I suddenly saw a woman in a milk-coloured nightdress sitting on a bed. She prays all night for a child, a practice that had become second nature.

I looked at her, beside her was a baby wrapped in white fabric —a beautiful, smiling baby girl. I could hear her chuckle. The radiance was a glow. She was a child sent by God to wipe away all tears and years of humiliation, a child of help.

A child has been given, but why was she still praying for a child? I want us to give the act of prayer an approach.

Some years ago, my Pastor at Awka Nigeria called me, he said, “Kanayo you’ll preach on Sunday” and I did as I was led, some days after in my sleep, I heard a voice calling out a verse from the Bible, it was like an echo, the voice kept calling Proverbs 3:4, often I keep a pen and a paper around at night so that when the voice comes speaking I have to quickly write something, because I may not remember everything, the human brain is weak to keep a memory of spiritual dealings.

We have the outer physical brain, and the inner invincible brain, which we call the mind, the outer brain is made up of cells and neurons that can only communicate to the inner brain by vision or revelation.

God can’t speak to our outer brain, He’s a Spirit, He speaks to the inner invisible brain, and He gives our outer brain power to access and interpret the information in the inner brain, that light of understanding we get when we have access to that invincible core is called vision, it’s a process in stages.

When I got to the church the following Sunday, I was the leader of service, so I took permission from my Pastor to complete the sermon I gave the previous Sunday, so I added the verse from the echo; understanding and favour work in pari passu.

You can’t separate understanding from favour, prayer brings favour, for you to know your prayers have been answered you need understanding, without understanding you may pray for the rest of your life when the answer and favour are before you.

Is God so busy that we have to pray for such years for Him to hear? The moment we pray and believe, we have already received, this is the Gospel of prayer, why it seems like the prayer hasn’t been answered may be due to a lack of understanding of how God has answered the prayer.

God doesn’t often answer prayers the way we said it, He answers according to His will and purpose, that the answer came in a way you didn’t pray doesn’t mean it hasn’t been answered, this is where understanding comes in.

For everyone praying and waiting for answers, let there be understanding to know when the answer and favour have been given.

It’s one thing to pray and it’s another thing to have the understanding to know the prayer has been answered. It’s a brilliant thing to pray, also it’s good thing to have an understanding when the prayer has been answered and in which manner it was answered.

Mostly when women pray for a child for the first time they ask for a male child, it’s common in Africa, Arab and Asia due to the cultural affiliation of possession and inheritance attached to a male child, but the child that has been given is a female child, though you prayed for a male child, but this ‘child of help’ will give you all round help, she will be to you what sons can’t be to you, she’s a child sent by God to help you, she won’t be interested in any inheritance, she will be your complete package of divine help.

For anyone praying and waiting for answers, let there be understanding to know God has answered and has provided.
