The Confusing Ways Of Understanding God
I call it the confusing ways of understanding the ways of God because it’s confusing to us, still in that confusion His promises are true.
There are times God takes to prove to us He loves us, He also gives to prove he cares, both the giving and taking serve a purpose we can’t understand in a quick time.
What matters most is he’s in a good place, even if we should get the opportunity to make him come back He won’t agree to return, for he’s already in a Kingdom of perfect peace.
We see it as a loss, but Heaven sees it as a gain, yes we lost here, but Heaven gained over there, I understand without explanation we desire to gain him back, but every soul and life belong to God, when He gives we are happy, and when He takes in ways that confuse our understanding of Him we should also hope He comforts.
A Nigerian Pastor and worshipper Dunsin Oyeka, is a healer by divine calling, he prayed for the sick and they got healed, his wife got sick of the same ailment, he prayed for her healing, but God didn’t heal her, she died in that sickness.
I call it the confusing ways of understanding the ways of God because it’s confusing to us, still in that confusion His promises are true.
Umah Ukpai raised the dead, the cripple, opened blind eyes etc, dieties hear his name and varnish even before his arrival in any town dominated by idols, in the field of evangelism he lost his two children, he prayed for their revival but God kept silent.
It’s not every time God will do things our way, there are times He does things His own way, even though we can’t accept it or agree with Him, the explanation we seek in times of loss is found in his love and compassion to make all things new again.
Apostle Paul did miracles, signs and wonders, his handkerchief raised dead people in numbers, but he couldn’t heal himself of a minor eye problem, at a point, he asked God about it, He responded, “My grace is sufficient for you.”
God watched His son get killed, they mocked Jesus and said, “Himself He can’t save, but He saved others.” Jesus laid down His life so that the will of His Father shall be done, for it’s written, “Let your will be done on earth as it’s done in Heaven.”
Everything that happens to the children of God is believed to be the will of God, because He permitted it:
1 Thessalonians 5:18, “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
Some are celebrating, while some are mourning, we serve a companionate God, He’s so merciful that he can’t be happy seeing people mourn in the season of His Son’s remembrance, so He will comfort, and He will restore everything in due time.
It isn’t always things we want from God that count, but the thing He wants from us, what’s does He want from us? To focus on Him both in good or bad situation.
May the grace of God be sufficient for every grieving heart, but above all keep the faith.
