The Minute World: You Must Lose It

You must lose your life to find true life.
You must lose your wisdom to receive divine wisdom.
You must forsake your ways to find the right path.
You must abandon the world to see the real world.

What will you tell Him? Tell Him, Father, as I lose my life for your sake let me find you.
There’s nothing in this world to keep; everything shall be lost in a twinkle of an eye. There’s only one thing we have: there’s only one thing that’s forever, which is the love of God.
It’s a minute world, you must lose it to find the eternal world.

You’ve the love of God in you, rejoice for you’ve all things, but you don’t have it, you’ve nothing.
What is it that you’ve that makes you feel you’ve anything? If we look at the suicide index, the rich, the billionaires, commit suicide more than the poor.

Life isn’t about having material riches and wealth, it’s all about having spiritual riches. Material wealth will dry, but spiritual wealth is eternal, that spiritual wealth I call it the love of God.

Yes I believe we need material wealth to sustain our existence on earth, no doubt, it’s very important, personally I desire to be a billionaire so that I can be of good service to the poor, but I also know being a billionaire isn’t the life; the true life I seek is the love of God.

A famous businessman in the USA in 80s woke one morning, looked at his private jets, mansions, exotic limousines, yacht, his companies, celebrity ladies at his service, and concubines, the billions in his accounts, after examining all these, he asked himself, “Is this what life is all about, I can’t understand this life” he wrote it down and committed suicide.

My Dad was trained by the American secret military service the CIA, he was also trained by the British Secret Military Intelligence known as the MI6, he lived at 9 Old Bond Street London, when he returned to Nigeria he worked with several Heads of State and Presidents, he was a Diplomat, worked with Juluis Nyerere of Tanzania, he was exceptional, headed the Surveillance Squad that delayed the Babangida’s Coup. All the reports he wrote to Shagari, he couldn’t act fast because he was a civilian that was why that coup succeeded, my Dad worked to stop it, he only delayed the coup but couldn’t stop it because the Presidency was weak.

After all these, there was only one thing he left the world with, the love of God.
I studied in Africa, I studied in Europe, I have degrees, but if you ask me, “Kanayo what do you have? My response will be I have nothing, because I know it’s a minute world, in a minute I shall lose all things and depart empty, the world won’t remember that I ever existed but my teachings will live in the hearts of many generations across.

So it doesn’t matter what we have, if the love of God isn’t in us we have nothing, and if you look closely at yourself you know you’ve nothing, despite the affluence or fortune around you, yourself still bears you witness you’re empty, you absolutely have nothing, because the love of God isn’t in you.

It isn’t everyone who lost their life for the sake of the Kingdom of God will see Jesus, many lost their lives without knowing the reason they lost it.

You must know the reason you lost your life to find Jesus. If you don’t know, you can’t find Him. If someone should ask you, “Why did you leave the ways of the world to follow Jesus?” What will be your answer? Many don’t have any answer.

The Apostles knew what they left behind and why they followed Jesus, what did you leave behind? Why are you following Him? They found Jesus because they had answers to these two questions.
Anyone who left everything behind or has lost anything for the sake of Jesus may you receive that eternal love of God.
