Giving
The Poor Gives Their All, The Rich Keeps Their All
After putting the folly of rich people into consideration, Jesus gave a parable, “It will be hard for the rich to pass through the gate called the eye of the needle.”
“And He looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury, and He saw also a certain poor widow putting in two mites. So He said, “Truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all; for all these out of their abundance have put in offerings for God, but she out of her poverty put in all the livelihood that she had.” Luke 21:1-4
Be blessed like Abraham, but be humble.
Be great like David, but be humble.
Be wealthy like Solomon, but be humble.
Being rich shouldn’t be an invitation to arrogance and pride, let it be an invitation to humility.
The weakness in getting rich most at times robs people of the true virtues of life, it has the tendency to rob people of their senses too.
Be rich
Be poor at heart
This is the Gospel
How many rich people are kind, how many people rich people are humble, how many rich people are sincere and truthful, instead they rob the poor and leave them with no food.
Wasn’t it the Billionaire E-money that murdered Junior Pope and colombied his wife before and after?
E-money has a beautiful wife, children and bevy of ladies in his adulterous archive, why murder an innocent man, made his children fatherless just because he wanted to cover his affair with their adulterous mother.
Be rich in treasure but be kind.
Be rich in treasure but be humble.
Be rich in treasure but but compassionate.
Poor people have the best heart.
People people have the kindest heart.
Poor people will give all they have.
Poor people are the happiest.
Rich people will always keep all they have.
Rich people have arrogant heart.
Rich people are always proud.
After putting the folly of rich people into consideration, Jesus gave a parable, “It will be hard for the rich to pass through the gate called the eye of the needle.”
Be rich in treasures, own the world but be poor in heart, this was the lesson of Jesus to the rich.
Let not riches lead you into evil, the richer you become the humbler you should become, let your hands be lifted up in wealth, but let your heart drop down in humility and kindness, give bread to the poor don’t let them lick your shoes and pick crumbs for God hears the cry of the poor swiftly.
Don’t you say your prayers are answered because you gave large sum, don’t you say you are better than the poor, don’t you say God knows your name and has forsaken the poor, remember the widow’s mite.
Jesus said her little giving shall be held for a memorial, she gave a mite, a tiny offering, but it was her all, the rich gave out of their substance, who was recognized, the poor woman or the rich?
God has nothing to do with the amount you gave, he has everything to do with the heart that gave, the rich give from the pocket, while the poor give from the heart.
But you the rich give from your heart, how? Study the life of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, were wealthy but they all gave from their hearts, and till forever they are remembered for a covenant.
