The Promise Of Rest
Have some rest, let there be peace and let the Presence of God suppress everything persistently obstructing your existence.
And He said, My Presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest -Exodus 33:14. Rest is evidence of all-round peace, it marks the end of every struggle, rest is a promise from God made available by His Presence.
Wherever there’s the Presence of God, there’s rest and there’s unending peace.
There’s nothing that can give the human heart rest other than the Presence of God, many have silver and gold yet their heart isn’t at rest.
Peace comes from the promise of rest, rest itself comes from the promise of God’s Presence, this is the cycle, if you desire that inner peace which is higher than everything then seek the Presence of God, there’s no way else to find rest in this chaotic world if not relying on the Presence of God.
Few days ago, the former CEO of Konga committed suicide, jumped down from his mansion at Lekki headlong and died, he had silver and gold more than enough but he had no peace, and no rest.
If you go to Kaggle, a repository of data servers, you will find out people “who have” commit suicide more than people who don’t have, peace doesn’t come by having or not, it only comes by the promise of rest from the Lord.
You’ve this, you have that yet your heart isn’t at peace, you do everything to find peace, no way, you go on vacations to best locations, the more troubled your heart becomes, you turn around the world to find peace, no way, you sing sweet songs and dance slow-Mo songs to find peace, the more spiral everything orbits, you go to best restaurants, eat and have best drinks, it satisfies only your tummy yet your heart is empty without peace.
It’s only the promise of God’s rest that gives the human heart peace.
You need the promise of rest that’s made available by the Presence of God, it doesn’t matter what the troubles are, the peace of the Lord overshadows every trouble, every fear, every lack and every sickness.
Have some rest, let there be peace and let the Presence of God suppress everything persistently obstructing your existence.
Have some rest . And have some rest.
