The Way It Is
Eden was a safe place carved out from the world for Adam, it had everything and every safety in it.
Stepping out of Eden into the wild world was welcomed by hardship, sickness, murder and everything that obstructs the existence of man, in Eden there was absolute calm.
Adam began to live amongst wolves of problems and things that troubled him every day, eventually in the end he died the death he wasn’t created to die, and he transferred this sickness of death to his seeds after him till the world’s end.
The true enemies of man aren’t bad economy, sickness, or insecurity, man can control these and live above them, the true enemies of man are spiritual wolves of principalities and powers, they are the forces holding the world hostage at all corners, they instigate war and famine, they control the affairs of men, and for this reason God sent the Good Shepherd.
When we wander out of God’s coverage and presence, we likely become prey to the wolves parading the earth, they come in different forms, just like wolves, they bite, inflict pain and suffering.
Pleasure distracts our understanding and sight from knowing we are surrendered by wolves every minute, a wrong step taken in the midst of the wolves could be the end and it has been the end of many, both Kings and servants.
But I write to inform you, you’re amid wolves, the only protection you have is the mercy of God, any moment God withdraws His mercy, the wolves quickly devour.
Does mercy elapse? No one knows the mind of God, no one can trace His time, everything has a beginning and end; mercy has an end.
Just in about two months ago, a Nigerian Senator, Ifeanyi Uba travelled to the UK to witness his son’s graduation, he slept healthily and soundly, only for his corpse to be dumped at the morgue the following morning, mercy eluded him, the wolves parading the world ate him up.
We aren’t here because of who we are or what we’ve, we’re here because the mercy of God keeps us, and I want you to recognise that.
The Good Shepherd of life wanders into the world seeking for lost sheep in the midst of wolves, He protects them even when they don’t believe Him, even those who say He doesn’t exist, He protects all.
How long can the Good Shepherd protect the stubborn bleating sheep?
When He has tried His all, and has given in His all, the Good Shepherd will have no choice but to let the sheep go and be left at the mercy of the wolves.
Visit the morgue, you’ll see people devoured by the wolves at an even younger age, mercy spared them.
I’m a sheep lost in the midst of pleasure, surrendered by wolves but protected by the Good Shepherd, Lord Jesus I recognise you, let your mercy not elapse me, help me find my way back when it’s time, yes when it’s time, the time is every second we’ve got to find our way back.
