?Trinity, We Can Explain It But Can’t Prove It
There are many verses that made it appear like Trinity is real, like such verses where the Father, Son and Holy Spirit interacted differently same time.
It’s a theological perspective about the existence of God and GOD, when we say trinity or tri-Une, we don’t mean to say there are three types or forms of God, like God the Father sitting here, Son sitting beside Him, and God the Holy Spirit hovering there, God doesn’t have three forms He has only One form, the form of God, He doesn’t have twins like many perceive.
“And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)
Here Isaiah introduced Jesus as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, all are just Him, one Him, not plural.
The vision of Isaiah introduced Jesus as both the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, One Being not three personalities, God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit aren’t three persons, He’s One Person.
Our understanding of the God nature as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit gave rise to that word Trinity, it has no place in the Bible, so we can’t prove it but can we explain it.
I believe in Trinity because it explains the nature of God in a layman’s understanding, but if we should become real Bible students, it’s clear to know, the word Trinity is found no where near any verse in the Bible, it’s man’s creation to help him better understanding His Creator, which is humanly right.
It’s a philosophical effort and inquiry into the Bible, but we can’t totally accept man’s approach in matters of the existentiality of God and His nature.
Tomorrow, I preach Trinity, I can defend it with long verses, but within me I know I am just trying to help people understand God in that human based knowledge, and God understands.
Trinity is a doctrine not the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we believe it, I have nothing against it, because it helps our human understanding about God.
There are many verses that made it appear like Trinity is real, like such verses where the Father, Son and Holy Spirit interacted differently same time.
“As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him.”
And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” (Matthew 3:16-17).
Here it’s confusing to many, God the Father speaking to His Son from Heaven, that same God who spoke from Heaven, Jesus said, He Jesus is still that God who spoke from Heaven.
There is no verse that proves Trinity, for Jesus said, ” I and the Father are one.” in John 10:30.
He further said, if you have seen me you have seen the Father, He isn’t different from me.
It’s also clear that this same Jesus is the Holy Spirit, he Said, “I will send you my Spirit”
“My Spirit” He said, not a different Being, but still Him in a spiritual form.
Yes I know in some places God used the pronoun, “Us and We” to refer to Himself, this many use as a stand to explain the Trinity of God, but it’s a pronoun and not a noun, since it’s a pronoun, it doesn’t refer to a Being, it’s a form of God speaking to Himself, haven’t you ever said to yourself let’s do this? Does it mean you are three or two?
If often we refer to ourselves as “us or we” does it means we are three different persons?
When God said let’s make, He wasn’t talking to any other two types of Gods or forms, He was talking to Himself, for it’s written in the Beginning God created the Heavens and earth not Gods created, but God, One God created.
Trinity creates a room for the plurality of God, I understand it’s explainable to assist some baby Christians to understand God, but there comes a time of growth when we’ve to tell them the exact interpretation of God nature, He’s One, He isn’t found in Trinity or like having three heads or bodies.
I teach Trinity, I believe in it for the benefit of people who are new to Christianity, to help them form that easy bond, but when I find myself in the midst of mature Christian, I say the raw message, God is one, God isn’t three, we can’t prove Trinity but for people to easily understand God, we can explain it.
God says He’s One in One person, man says God is three in three persons. God has nothing against Trinity for He understands our efforts, He understands we’ve limited knowledge to completely understand His nature, but I want you come up higher where you will know Him as One in One and not One in Three.
At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you – John 14:20
This verse puts to rest Trinity, it exists in our world, but doesn’t exist in Heaven.
The Holy Spirit in us is in Christ, Christ is in the Father, putting it together we have God, God embodies the Father, Christ and Holy Spirit, Jesus used the preposition “in” which explains they are totally One.
I have one wish for you, that you may know God beyond doctrines of men and theologies of philosophers.
When you know God personally, you will begin to live above certain teachings manufactured by men.
