Two Types Of Calling

I will use Brother Hulk Hogan, the famous wrestler to explain few things.
He received Christ in the last days of his life, got baptized and preached the Gospel to his fans around the world weeks before he died of myocardial infarction ‘heart attack’ at the age of 71 days ago.

There are two types of calling; calling by the flesh and calling by the Spirit. There were some things I did by the flesh in the past when I look at it I smile, what a folly ‘quelle folie!’

The calling by the flesh is when we do things and live the way we like believing we are right, and calling by the Spirit is the phase of encounter when we turn away from personal calling, when we stop doing this the way it pleases us and start living in a manner that pleases God.

Apostle Paul during the years of his first calling, he did a lot of bad things believing he was right, that was a calling from the flesh.
Paul continued that way till the day he answered the second calling, and he shifted from his personal calling, instead of sending people to prisons, he saved people from spiritual prisons of sickness, and eternal death.

There is no one who hasn’t answered the call, it depends on the type of call; a call by the flesh or a call by the Spirit.
To move from personal calling to answer the divine call is by the grace of God. There are people who answered the divine call on time, and there are people who will still answer later or very late in life, whether late or early it doesn’t matter.

And let those who answered the call earlier help the people who are yet to answer.
The love of God isn’t something we can explain, He touches lives in ways higher than our understanding, Brother Hulk Hogan lived his early life in ways no so right, but it isn’t the things we did in the past that God counts when we decide to accept His love in this present.

When we repent genuinely God is able to repair every mistake of the past which destroyed our lives.
Genuine repentance can repair any damage done to the body in the years of mistakes, genuine repentance can restore everything lost in the days of spiritual blindness.

My father started smoking cigarette in the boarding in class 1, he met the bad guys in school, we met him still smoking la cigarette, he smoked in packets, he had the money. On a certain afternoon that year, God sent some preachers, he heard and repented genuinely and was baptized in the Holy Ghost the following week.

Many years after he went for organ medical check up, I went with him, after checking the doctors told him his organs are very sound, remember one stick of cigarette can damage the lungs, but in his case packets of cigarette didn’t damage his lungs.

Genuine repentance is different from repentance, genuine repentance recreates, restores and rebuilds everything destroyed by past mistakes.
What we need to regain everything we have lost in the years of mistakes isn’t just repentance but genuine repentance.

Impossible is nothing where there’s genuine repentance, is there anything too hard for God to do? He has the power to create even when we destroy his creation, He has the power to recreate them again, but it can’t be possible without genuine repentance.
I was invited to preach in a church, even before the call came, I already received a message by the Spirit, I was given a verse by the Spirit.

When I got to the church I picked the microphone, open only one verse, and told them what I was sent to tell them, it came to a moment deaconesses, deacons, prayers warriors, choristers came out and knelt at the altar, for all these years they have been pretending to have repented but their repentance wasn’t genuine.

Even though we pretend before the people, can we also pretend before God?
They call you man of God, woman of God, but we know we aren’t any close to God, the names, the titles don’t mean a thing before God.

As those church leaders came out, the Pastor was surprised because he has been with them for years, your Pastor may be calling you genuine child of God but God knows you aren’t His child.
To be called children of GOD we must repent genuinely. God can change the heart of the strong and make it soft to receive the Gospel and preach it.

There are people who will preach Gospel for years without winning a soul, and there people who will preach for a minute and win souls, genuine repentance is power, you don’t need to pretend, even if you fake it, your heart tells you the truth.

Brother Hulk Hogan may not have preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ for years, but the very few days he did before he passed away planted seeds of repentance in many souls around the world.

Many of the people who hold the microphone and Bible are only looking for personal honour, some see the ministry as personal business, some take it for a hobby, when he looks at himself in the banner he’s happy nothing more, what he wants is only that publicity of himself, he has no message from God to give to the congregation.

It isn’t how many years you preached the Gospel but how genuine your relationship with God is, one second genuine repentance can shake the Heavens.
