What You Must Know Before Going To The Seminary

Someone reached out to me and asked, “I am going to theology school, but some persons advised that I go to Bible school instead, please what’s the difference?”

In theology school they teach you Biblical philosophy, but in Bible school, they teach you the Bible, it depends on what you desire, to know God through the objectivity and laws of men or to know God within the monopoly of Divine tutelage.

Bible theologians are those guys who speak long grammar but empty on the inside, if you aren’t rooted in the Word they will use philosophical jargons to confuse you, they are mafians of false teachings, they speak not the Word, they only speak philosophy, they interpret the Bible outside its meaning.

Listen, don’t be moved when you hear someone introduce himself as Dr. Rev XYZ JP, it isn’t PhD in theology that will speak the Word, check the amount of the Word in him, if none or not enough, then he’s a mafian of deceit, you won’t get anywhere with such people.

How many of the Apostles had a Doctorate in Bible studies? Yes I know it’s good and self satisfying to get a PhD in theology as a minister of the Gospel, but if it will deny you knowing the Word as it is, then drop it. God won’t ask you how learned or how educated, it won’t count over there, but it counts here, it counts here for the sake of securing a higher man made position in the church.

But of what use securing an academic position without securing a spiritual position?
Did Peter attend any school at all? Was he not the head of the Apostles? God doesn’t check if you’re super learned or not, he’s interested in how much you seek Him, He’s interested in how much you know the Word, these matters above every seminary degree whatsoever.

Degrees in theology are good, you can have multiple Doctorates in theology, but it won’t count if you know not the Bible deep enough.

It’s good to attend a seminary, but there’s no power and truth in any seminary or Bible school, every power you need as a minister are all contained in the Bible, so why waste 12 years in the seminary? When you can be better in in three years or less.

There are no teachers of the truth greater than the Bible, instead of wasting years in the seminary, direct the energy on the studying the Word, everything, all things are there.

Pastor, apostle, priest, evangelist, bishop, teacher, prophet aren’t awarded at the seminary, it’s calling from God, no school can ordain you a Pastor when God hasn’t called you.

What differentiates you from others as a minister is the extent you know the Bible, not the extent you studied.

Listen, in all churches around the world, people who hold top positions are people who are most learned, but in truth, you search them, some of them are spiritually empty, they have degrees in theology but the Word isn’t in them, those ones who occupy lesser positions are closer to God more than those ones at the top, the degrees they acquired have nothing to do with serving God, but to seize church positions.

Christianity simply means power, degrees don’t define it, although you need sound education to express your thoughts but it doesn’t still rely on the fact you are well educated, be well educated, no problems but know the Word as needed to represent the Kingdom.

Long confusing vocabularies and philosophical premises isn’t what Christianity calls for, keep the vocabularies aside and speak just the Word, no one is interested in your long grammars, people want to hear the Word.

What you must know before going to Bible School:
1. It’s a place to seek the Word deeper by yourself, not a place to acquire degrees, the qualifications you earned at the end of your stay should be for self gratification, no one can put the Word in your heart, you let it in by your efforts.

2. It’s a place to seek God the more, not a place to meet people, it’s a place consecrated to strengthen your journey with God; if you don’t get these two things then you missed it all.
